Silvermoon StoneWear is the jewelry of our time. Handcrafted using sterling silver and genuine stones, each piece carries with it the energies of the earth. THE THEORY...

The theory is that everything that is naturally of and from the earth has it's own energy. The natural energy that is carried in crystals and stones is thought to be positive energy and has been used for many centuries by people of many cultures. Teachings tell of various crystals and stones that have historically been used for healing, bringing luck/protection, warding off evil, and empowering oneself by stimulating latent talents and strengthening weaknesses in character and personality. One could argue, that the positive thinking induced by carrying a "good luck charm", will do just as much good as the actual charm, in this case the stone. Whatever your beliefs, I think you will agree that crystals and minerals are beautiful gifts from the earth. Enjoy them!

THE JEWELRY...

Our sculpted wire pieces are made using age-old techniques that include no heating, soldering, melting, or gluing of components. The sterling silver wire (.925) is hand-sculpted around each individual stone to hold it in place. The tools used in this process are limited to common hand-held jewelers tools. No manufacturing is involved.

Our beaded jewelry is made using standard beading techniques. Again, no manufacturing is involved. Each piece is individually designed and hand-strung on Soft Flex beading material. The Soft Flex products used in our beaded jewelry contain a minimum of 21 woven strands of stainless steel coated with nylon. The components used in our beaded jewelry are sterling silver and genuine stone unless otherwise noted. We do not use any glass or plastic beads in our beaded products.

Our stones are purchased from reputable mineral and gemstone dealers. We do not mine, cut, or otherwise modify any of the stones. Most of our stones are considered semi-precious, however we also stock some stones that are more obscure and are only available in their natural mineral form. The term "natural gems" refers to those formed in the earth, in contrast to "lab created," "man made" or "synthetic" gems. In this context all of the gemstones used in Silvermoon StoneWear are "natural gems".
PLEASE NOTE that semi-precious stones commonly contain natural fractures. We do not consider these to be flaws. On the contrary, it is our belief that these unique characteristics give each stone an individual personality.
